Science on the Road is coming to Indiana!

Midwest

What does it take to turn ambitious scientific ideas into flight-ready hardware? And how do preparation, curiosity, resilience, and consistent work shape an international career in engineering?

Join us for Science on the Road: Indiana, featuring Iker Liceaga-Indart, Lead Mechanical Engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in an event organized by ECUSA Midwest, in collaboration with PNW CIVS and Purdue University Northwest.

Iker’s journey has taken him from engineering studies in Spain and research at MIT to leading mechanical engineering efforts for NASA space instruments and missions. During this session, we will explore:

🔹 Engineering at mission scale

🔹 Turning scientific concepts into flight hardware

🔹 Technical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration

🔹 Building an international career in STEM

🔹 The value of higher education, perseverance, and excellence

Iker is a recipient of the 2025 NASA Early Career Achievement Medal and has also been recognized by SHPE and Great Minds in STEM.
