Postdoctoral position in breast cancer

The Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) seeks a postdoctoral researcher to expand preclinical validation of a proprietary immunotherapy developed at IQAC, a peptide-drug conjugate called MACTIDE-V. This conjugate reprograms tumor-associated macrophages, unleashing potent immunostimulation and anti-metastatic activity in metastatic triple-negative breast cancer in mice.

The candidate is also expected to have entrepreneurial motivations to lead a spin-off company aimed at developing this asset and seek funding and investors.


What do we look for?

Qualifications
PhD in biology, biochemistry, immunology or related.

Professional experience
Permit and experience working with mouse models is required.

Competences
Experience with cancer mouse models, therapeutic efficacy studies, ADME studies (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion), multichannel flow cytometry, histology, patient derived organoids. Formation in business and entrepreneurship will be valued positively.

Working conditions

Contract duration: 1-year
Estimated annual gross salary: according to Spanish work personnel group M3
Target start date: Inmediately
